About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team at Highfield Leadership Academy in Blackpool. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas within the academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning, washing, sweeping, and vacuuming of designated areas, including toilets and shower areas.
  • Polishing and dusting of fixtures and fittings.
  • Movement of items of furniture.
  • Ensuring all duties are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Relieving and assisting in other establishments as required.
  • Attending meetings and taking necessary action in the event of accidents, fires, or other incidents.
  • Ordering stock and managing staff on a daily basis.
  • Locking and securing premises as required.
  • Practically covering cleaning roles during absences.
  • Following COSHH guidelines when using cleaning chemicals.
  • Ensuring all staff have the correct materials and equipment.
  • Ensuring all cleaning materials and stock are at optimum levels.
