Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Refrigeration Design / Applications Engineer to become part of a thriving refrigeration manufacturing company. This role is pivotal in supporting the Refrigeration Technical Manager with essential functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing refrigeration mechanical and electrical schedules and designs.
  • Generating quotations and cost estimates utilizing provided software and training.
  • Creating and assessing specifications for refrigeration systems and components.
  • Designing systems that adhere to BREEAM standards.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers to verify the feasibility of refrigeration specifications.
  • Preparing documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as BSEN 378.
  • Employing software tools to perform heat and load calculations.
  • Drafting and reviewing environmental and compliance submissions.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
  • Basic CAD experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • C&G 2079 certification is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of the 7671 18th Edition is beneficial but not essential.
  • Electrical qualifications or knowledge are preferred but not required.
  • A degree in building services is desirable but not essential.
Compensation Package:

Attractive salary range from £50,000 to £80,000 based on experience and qualifications, along with:

  • 25 days of paid vacation plus public holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
