Job Profile:

Fawkes and Reece are seeking a skilled Sub Agent to join their team for a major civil engineering project in North Wales. The project involves complex tunnelling and the construction of two large shafts, requiring a high level of technical expertise and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with a minimum of a HNC/HND in Engineering. The company offers outstanding training and development opportunities, including mentoring and support towards ICE chartership.

As a Sub Agent, you will be responsible for advising the engineering team on technical challenges, managing designs, and supporting the project team with construction methodology and sequencing. You will also collaborate with the team on resource, plant, and material requirements, and train and mentor junior members of the engineering team.

Benefits include a competitive basic salary, company car or car allowance, company pension scheme, private healthcare, and holidays including all Bank Holidays. A subsistence allowance is also available (*subject to status).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising the engineering team on technical challenges
  • Managing designs from in-house and external designers
  • Supporting the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
  • Collaborating with the project team on resource, plant, and material requirements
  • Training and mentoring junior members of the engineering team
  • Demonstrating value engineering throughout the construction process
  • Managing RFI's and Technical Queries
