Job Title: Assistant Subject Leader - Chemistry

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Subject Leader to join our Chemistry department at Paddington Academy. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the academy's mission to provide a life-changing education.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Subject Leader will provide leadership and support to the Chemistry department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of all students. You will work closely with the Subject Leader to develop and implement curriculum plans, monitor student progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Chemistry teachers to ensure the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies.
  • Work closely with the Subject Leader to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the academy's curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to students, including those who require additional support or are at risk of underachievement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop cross-curricular links and ensure a cohesive educational experience for students.
