Key Responsibilities

A position has become available for a Junior Breast Imaging Specialist to become part of our collaborative team at the Breast Unit. This unit provides both initial breast screening and diagnostic mammography services. Our facility is equipped with advanced digital technology, including three mammography machines, one of which features tomosynthesis capabilities. Additionally, we operate three mobile units to extend our screening services to the surrounding areas.

Job Duties

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Radiotherapy, either diagnostic or therapeutic, or an equivalent qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • Comprehensive understanding of IR(me)R 2000, IRR regulations, and clinical governance
  • Willingness to pursue the Postgraduate Qualification in Mammography
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in a breast screening environment
  • Knowledge of the NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) and Quality Assurance Programmes (QA)
