Higher Level Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at a Vale of Glamorgan secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in creating a stimulating environment that fosters learning and development.
  • Build relationships with pupils to enhance productivity and ambition.
  • Prepare resources, assist with administrative tasks, and deliver set activities with confidence.
  • Listen and observe pupils' needs, tailoring tasks according to teacher instructions.
  • Uphold and adhere to school policies and procedures related to child protection, health, and behavior.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working with year olds or an individual with limited experience but looking for a career in education.
  • Confidence in getting stuck in to support and build relationships with pupils.
  • Initiative to prevent constant support from the class teacher.
  • No criminal convictions and a valid DBS (can be produced through us if needed).
  • Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (can be produced through us).
Desirable Skills:
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
  • Residency in the Vale of Glamorgan.
  • Basic understanding of the national curriculum.
