Our culture emphasizes a supportive environment where professional development and work-life balance are paramount. At Monahans, you will collaborate with a team that appreciates your contributions and offers a variety of career paths to help you reach your professional aspirations.

Role Overview

We are seeking both mid and senior level Client Managers. In this capacity, you will be tasked with delivering thorough and client-centric services to a designated portfolio, working in close partnership with a Partner or Director. Your responsibilities will include managing a diverse array of clients, ensuring their financial and business requirements are met with accuracy and expertise. This role presents an exciting opportunity to utilize your accounting acumen while strengthening client relationships, contributing to the firm's growth, and playing a vital role in the effective delivery of our services.

You will serve as the primary liaison for your portfolio, ensuring that all client engagements are managed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position necessitates a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, where you will oversee complex accounting tasks, manage team performance, and aid in the expansion of our client base. Your efforts will directly influence the success of our clients and the ongoing development of Monahans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Service: Cultivate and enhance relationships with clients in your portfolio, addressing intricate accounting and tax matters while ensuring consistent communication and prompt resolution of inquiries. Act as the primary contact in the absence of the Partner, ensuring all client issues are managed swiftly and effectively. Collaborate with the compliance team to guarantee timely and accurate service delivery, while also managing more complex client work that requires specialized attention.
  • People & Leadership: Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality client service. Inspire and motivate your team, creating an inclusive atmosphere that embodies Monahans' values. Serve as a role model within the firm, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a client-focused approach in all interactions.
  • Business Development: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to offer additional services. Work alongside Partners to broaden the firm's client base through networking and direct engagement with potential clients. Support business development initiatives, including client pitches, proposals, and participation in marketing and promotional activities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a diverse client portfolio within an accounting or business advisory context.
  • Strong grasp of complex accounting and tax issues, with the capability to handle intricate client work.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain robust client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, with a history of developing junior staff members.
  • Solid business development skills, with experience in identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Client-Centric: Committed to understanding client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and fostering strong, lasting relationships.
  • Leadership-Oriented: Experienced in leading and mentoring teams, with a focus on talent development and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Adaptable: Proficient at navigating complex and changing environments, effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Solution-Focused: A proactive problem solver, consistently seeking innovative ways to address client challenges and enhance service delivery.

Benefits:

At Monahans, we prioritize personal and professional growth, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered. As part of the Monahans team, you can anticipate:

  • Competitive salary with regular benchmarking and merit-based reviews.
  • Health and wellness benefits including private health insurance, a healthcare cash plan, and an employee assistance program.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including options for remote work and the ability to purchase additional annual leave.
  • Generous support policies such as enhanced maternity and paternity pay, life assurance, and a pension scheme.
  • Additional perks like the myMonahans benefits platform, volunteer leave, social events, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
