Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier's European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to Bombardier's Maintenance Organization Procedures, including relevant MOE and applicable work instructions.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
- Train, coach, and support other employees.
- Respond to customer queries and requests.
- Perform complete engine runs as required.
- Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems.
- Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard.
- Release line maintenance tasks performed by themselves or under their supervision for which they are trained and authorized.
- Perform maintenance at off-site locations and be responsible for day-to-day station admin requirements.
- Assist in providing time and cost estimates.
- Report to the Operations Manager.
- Use own initiative to resolve difficult situations.
- EASA/CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License: B1, B2, and C.
- Business Jet Line Maintenance experience within the last 3 to 5 years.
- Experience working on Bombardier Business Jet aircraft types (Challenger, Global, Learjet).
- Demonstrated ability to train other employees.
- Part-147 approved type training on their license and held the approval for at least 2 years.
- Engine run qualified - preferred.
- Good knowledge of Appendix I to Part-66.
- Good knowledge of Part-M, Part-145, and any other relevant regulations.
- At least 6 months of relevant aircraft or maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period.
- Knowledge of human factors, human performance, and limitations.
- Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- Current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training).
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual tasks and/or aircraft status.
- Ability to use information systems (computer skills).
