This role sits in WTW's Portfolio Management team, which oversees the management of over £130 billion in assets globally. The focus of this position would be to:
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to build portfolios that effectively hedge risks in UK pension scheme liabilities, generate cashflows to meet client requirements, increase investment returns, or hedge risks in other assets held.
- Analyze UK pension scheme liabilities and understand/quantify the risks involved, including UK DB Pension Liability Driven Investment (LDI) work.
- Guide and check the work produced by junior members of the Portfolio Management Team to ensure timely and high-quality output.
- Draft high-quality papers recommending/justifying changes to client portfolios.
- Extend knowledge of UK pension schemes, fixed-income assets, and derivative markets to work independently and present papers/ideas to clients and internally.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of UK pension schemes, fixed-income assets, and derivative markets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Portfolio Managers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to draft high-quality papers and present ideas to clients and internally.
