As a Financial Crime Investigation Specialist within our esteemed Financial Crime team, you will play a pivotal role in assessing escalated cases, fostering stakeholder relationships, and delivering insightful feedback.
Position Summary:
Your primary responsibility will be to conduct timely evaluations of Chase UK Banking customers flagged for a relationship review due to concerns related to financial misconduct or adverse media exposure. This role necessitates adept management of internal stakeholder interactions, encompassing both peers and senior management, and providing constructive feedback on escalated cases.
Moreover, you will assist in customer outreach initiatives, addressing requests for information (RFI) from Client List Screening and Sanctions Transaction Screening across the organization. The team is tasked with reviewing and responding to firmwide utilities to address alerts related to Negative Media, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Sanctions, Internal List Screening, and Sanctions Payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly evaluate relationship review cases submitted by internal stakeholders to determine whether they can be resolved or need to be escalated to the Line of Business Committee.
- Compile and assess information from various sources, providing a clear and articulate summary recommendation to the Team Lead regarding the review's outcome.
- Prepare presentations for the Escalations Committee, ensuring narratives are concise and tailored for senior audiences.
- Support change management initiatives by sharing process enhancements and best practices within the team, managing the entire relationship review process to adhere to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as a primary contact for the business, conducting outreach when essential information is missing, and cultivate strong partnerships with key stakeholders, offering candid feedback to ensure timely follow-up actions.
- Participate in regular knowledge-sharing and calibration calls with other divisions of Chase UK to guarantee that the customer journey adheres to SLAs.
- Engage in outreach to assist valued customers throughout their onboarding process, ensuring their applications progress smoothly and professionally. Review and assess Sanction Payment alerts to determine if customer contact is necessary and provide outcomes to the Sanctions team.
- Significant experience in KYC within the Financial Services or Banking sector.
- Prior experience in a KYC role or a position that necessitates research, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking, along with a solid understanding of KYC/AML risks and indicators.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a strong capability in stakeholder management and a proven track record of identifying, analyzing, planning, prioritizing, and resolving issues.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, resilient with a growth mindset, and possessing exceptional attention to detail.
- Adept at multitasking with the ability to prioritize effectively, maintaining engagement with stakeholders while addressing and resolving issues.
- Strong time management skills, capable of working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines, demonstrating independent decision-making abilities, and possessing strong analytical skills to draft clear and concise reports.
- Experience in a digital banking environment.
