About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Barnet Lane Clinic, a 30-bed rehabilitation service for individuals with mental illness, including those diagnosed with a personality disorder.

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support the delivery of structured activities and assist in the planning of individual and group therapeutic interventions.

You will build one-to-one relationships with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery. Your role will involve contributing to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and other multidisciplinary team staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Support service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate records, entering details in the service user healthcare records.
Requirements
  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2.
  • Experience in a similar environment and mental health.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
