About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Chemist to join our team as a subject matter expert, solving complex chemical development issues for assigned projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solve high-complexity chemical development issues with limited guidance from a scientific supervisor or Line Manager.
  • Demonstrate expertise in core chemistry laboratory skills, including expert application of laboratory techniques and instrumentation to positively impact API drug development.
  • Design and execute core experiments, interpret results, and plan additional experiments in a timely manner to solve assigned problems of high complexity.
  • Actively participate in the development of new technologies or methodologies, as appropriate within the functional area.
  • Effectively communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with cross-functional project groups to ensure that scientific work is appropriately documented.
  • Document and report results of all experiments in a manner consistent with department practices and governing policies.
  • Contribute to effective team planning and mentor less experienced staff on core functional technical and procedural matters.

Requirements:

  • PhD in organic chemistry or related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a laboratory role, with evidence of strong academic or industrial laboratory experience.
  • Evidence of experience in successful application of analytical/physical skill sets to resolve high-complexity chemical problems.
  • Evidence of ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams.
