Web Designer Job Description

The Starknet Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of Starknet, a cutting-edge layer 2 blockchain network built on top of Ethereum.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Layout: Create visually appealing and user-friendly web experiences for Starknet's web presence, aligning with our brand identity and business goals.
  2. Brand Storytelling: Influence the way Starknet's brand story is expressed through its web presence, ensuring consistency and impact.
  3. Agile Workflows: Manage and contribute to agile end-to-end workflows, creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that drive the creative process forward.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Own the relationship with developer agencies and partners, ensuring high-quality and highly-functional implementation of all designs.
  5. Web Property Maintenance: Be accountable for the proper functioning and maintenance of all Starknet's web properties.
  6. User Research and Analysis: Constantly monitor and identify opportunities to enhance Starknet's web presence through user research, data analysis, and usability testing.
  7. Industry Trends and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to inform and refine Starknet's creative strategies and overall design systems.
  8. Collaboration with Peer Designers: Collaborate closely with peer designers to evolve our visual language.
Requirements:
  1. A passion for web storytelling and 5+ years of provable experience in web design.
  2. A strong portfolio that showcases all your web design work.
  3. Experience leading web design projects end-to-end through an iterative, design-first approach.
  4. Ability to translate high-level requirements into modern, intuitive, and intentionally architected web experiences.
  5. A sharp eye for clean and functional web design, with strong user interface design skills.
  6. Strong fundamental knowledge of formal design principles including color, typography, and layout.
  7. Clean and clear aesthetics optimized around modern design standards for developer tools and technology products.
  8. Experience taking initiative, working independently, actively resolving issues, and taking ownership of projects.
