About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Classroom Assistant - SEN Teaching Role. As a key member of our SEN department, you will work closely with teachers to support students with a range of special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
  • Creative Learning: Assist in the development and implementation of creative and engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support the class teacher in managing the classroom, preparing materials, and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Emotional and Social Support: Help students develop social skills and emotional resilience, providing encouragement and positive reinforcement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff members to create and maintain individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Communication: Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and any concerns.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but a willingness to learn and grow in this field is essential.
  • Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
