As part of our growth plans, we have numerous projects in various stages of construction. We are seeking an entry-level Quantity Surveyor to join our projects team and support project engineers in the region with contract administration, contract risk, procurement, estimating, cost planning, cash flow forecasting, and cost reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, with A-Levels and GCSEs in English and Maths. Some knowledge or experience in an office-based role within construction is desirable, but not essential. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing a career in this sector.

The role will work closely with our Contract & Cost Manager, who will provide mentorship and coaching to develop the candidate's skills. The successful candidate will be based in the Humber region, with a split between Immingham and Hull every week. A full driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Engineering department in carrying out the Quantity Surveying function.
  • Work with the Contract & Cost Manager to ensure consistency and best practice across the business unit to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension of time, early warnings, and claims.

Requirements:

  • Must hold an RICS-approved Quantity Surveying degree or be willing to work towards a degree, and ultimately towards RICS Professional Membership.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite, ideally including MS Project.
