About the Role

We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students' academic, social, and emotional development in schools across East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, ensuring students receive targeted support.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources, ensuring students have access to the tools they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to student development.
  • Assist students during school activities, outings, and events, promoting their engagement and participation.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support students' individual needs, ensuring a collaborative approach to student development.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of SEN practices and strategies, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a focus on promoting student well-being and success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering exceptional student outcomes.
