Central Medical Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Doctor to join our team. As a Medical Doctor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical services to our patients, working autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering Excellent Patient Care: Provide medical services to our patients, ensuring a high standard of clinical care and adhering to GMC standards for good medical practice.
- Managing Practice Operations: Contribute to the effective management of the practice, leading by example and maintaining a positive working relationship with the team.
- Generic Prescribing: Adhere to local and national guidance when prescribing medication.
- Long-term Condition Management: Effectively manage patients with long-term conditions, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
- Administrative Tasks: Process administrative tasks, including referrals, repeat prescription requests, and other associated tasks.
- Triage and Duty Doctor Roles: Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles, providing timely and effective care to patients.
- Clinical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to good practice, policy, and guidance.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team, accepting an equal share of the practice workload and contributing to the development of the practice.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice.
- Delegated Responsibilities: Accept delegated responsibility for specific clinical areas or the QOF, ensuring effective management and delivery of services.
- Practice Meetings: Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
- Practice Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance and training.
- Appraisal and Revalidation: Ensure compliance with the appraisal process and prepare for revalidation, maintaining a high standard of professional practice.
- Self-Learning and Development: Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team.
- Training and Support: Support the training of registrars and medical students from all clinical disciplines, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- Strategic Aims: Support the practice in achieving its strategic aims, ensuring alignment with the practice's vision and values.
- Practice Protocols and Policies: Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies, ensuring effective management and delivery of services.
- Culture of Continuous Improvement: Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Practice Audits: Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit lead, ensuring effective management and delivery of services.
- Local Initiatives: Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care, ensuring alignment with the practice's vision and values.
- Significant and Near-Miss Events: Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events, ensuring effective management and delivery of services.
