Overview

Our service at Victoria Park Grove provides round-the-clock assistance to clients. We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to engage our clients in various activities such as outings, shopping trips, and community events. We offer a range of shifts, including daytime, nighttime, and sleepover options. If you enjoy social activities like bus rides, walks, and dining out, this fulfilling role may be ideal for you. As a Care Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional care and support, empowering our clients to lead fulfilling lives. You will be committed to making a positive impact on their lives, helping them achieve their goals and dreams. This welcoming service is situated in Leeds (LS13), and possessing a valid UK driving license is crucial.

Key Responsibilities

The Role: Person-Centered Care - Develop individualized support plans in collaboration with clients, reflecting their preferences and aspirations while adapting to their evolving needs. Empowerment - Assist clients in achieving their goals, promoting independence based on their abilities. This may involve accompanying them on social outings, supporting their hobbies, organizing activities, and enhancing their skills. Transparent Communication - Maintain open and honest communication with clients and team members, ensuring integrity and accountability in all interactions. Dignified Personal Care - Provide personal care with respect for clients' choices and dignity, including assistance with hygiene and daily living activities. Commitment to Excellence - Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Perform household tasks as needed, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

The Candidate

The Candidate: Willing to provide compassionate care and support according to individual care plans. Understands the importance of maintaining precise records. Capable of performing a variety of personal care and domestic tasks. Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including mobility assistance and night shifts. Adjustments will be considered in line with the Equality Act. Familiar with or willing to learn computer applications and undertake necessary training in care. Works effectively as part of a team. Communicates effectively with clients, families, and external stakeholders. Shift patterns include early and late shifts, with some sleep-in duties.
