Key Responsibilities

  • Progressing generator manufacture according to production schedules and ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Assembling and testing generator control panels according to supplied drawings and mounting them within enclosures, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Efficiently prioritizing and managing assigned workloads, meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Assembling and testing wiring looms to supplied drawings and fitting them to engine/alternator, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Upholding high standards of workmanship on all projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Conducting test inspection processes on pre-wiring cabling, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in full compliance with health and safety standards, implementing quality and environmental standards in line with ISO requirements and company standards.
  • Supporting site installation teams and occasionally carrying out site commissioning, troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Testing completed generators with load banks in line with approved processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Qualifications such as City & Guilds, BTEC ONC/HNC, JIB Approved Electrician, or NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
  • Generator experience (highly desirable).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in industrial environments, with a strong understanding of Electrical Installation Regulations and associated legislative standards.
  • A good knowledge of electrical drawings and fault-finding to component level, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and targets, with strong awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative in a single-person scenario or as part of a team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for effective interaction with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across different departments.
