Position Overview

The Engineering Project Coordinator will oversee and synchronize the Project Management Function at the site, focusing on strategic initiatives that align with our long-term vision for technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development:

Contribute to the formulation of a 5-year operational vision aimed at achieving sustainable improvements in cost and yield.Design and execute the operational strategy, including capital investment plans to realize the site’s operational objectives.Utilize the Milliken Performance System (MPS) to enhance processes through Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, and Project Management methodologies.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the progress of the annual plan, budget, and projects, providing updates to stakeholders.

Health, Safety & Environment:

Ensure compliance with the Company Safety Policy and relevant HSE regulations.Promote safe working practices and foster a culture of safety across the site.Champion waste reduction initiatives to minimize environmental impact.

Collaboration Across Departments:

Engage with various departments including Safety, Production, Engineering, and Finance to ensure a unified approach to project investments.

Production & Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with the manufacturing team to uphold high-quality standards in product output.Continuously assess and refine existing processes to optimize quality and cost-effectiveness.Support the development and implementation of new products and re-engineering efforts.

Engineering & Maintenance:

Identify opportunities for machinery upgrades or expansions and prepare investment proposals for senior management review.

Financial Management:

Work with the Finance team to develop and maintain the annual capital budget.Evaluate the success of projects against budgetary expectations and business requirements.

Team Leadership:

Facilitate effective communication within the team and across the organization.Support employee development initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.

Commercial Engagement:

Assist in the development and execution of product management strategies to drive sales and market presence.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in project or process engineering roles.A proactive attitude towards career development in project management.Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.Ability to manage project budgets effectively.A curious mindset with a willingness to explore innovative solutions.
