Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a curriculum tailored to the needs of our student cohort, ensuring high academic standards and excellent pastoral care.
- Build and nurture a high-performing team of educators and support staff, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure the success of the school.

We are looking for a candidate with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a further professional qualification in a relevant area, with a Headteacher qualification (such as NPQH/SNLP) or a willingness to gain such a qualification.
- Proven experience as a Headteacher within a specialist school environment, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
- Knowledge of DfE Guidance, including Independent Schools Standards (ISS), and up-to-date knowledge of related issues.
- Understanding of SLD and ASD, with the ability to develop and implement strategies to support students with these needs.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and manage a team, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Our new SEN school in Derby will cater to 72 students aged 5-19, with a primary diagnosis of ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) and ADHD.
