Welsh Language Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a confident and driven Welsh speaker to work as a Teaching Assistant in schools around Pontypool and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a positive impact on the education sector. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils and teaching staff to contribute to the overall positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the school's safeguarding and protection policies to ensure a safe environment for all students.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes student growth and development.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in response to the diverse and changing needs of pupils.
- Assist teachers and other school staff with daily tasks and support educational activities.
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with students and their families, providing emotional and social support as needed.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will receive a Level 2 Child Safeguarding qualification through Teaching Personnel before you start. You will also be given many more CPD opportunities once in the school either for FREE or at a hugely discounted rate.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we will help you obtain this)
- To be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
- Two professional references covering 24 months
- Level 2 Safeguarding (provided by Teaching Personnel)
