About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Data Protection Specialist to join our Risk and Compliance team. This role will play a crucial part in enhancing our data protection function across the organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure we maintain the highest standards of data security and compliance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on all aspects of data protection law and best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of robust Data Protection Controls Frameworks.
  • Identify potential data processing issues and risks, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Maintain accurate Registers of Processing Activity, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze data protection clauses within contracts to ensure they meet legal standards.
  • Provide ongoing support to colleagues across the organization on data protection matters.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a data protection or compliance role, ideally within the real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of relevant data protection legislation, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
  • A data protection qualification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is highly desirable.
