Quality Engineer Job Description

Ultra Electronics PCS is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance Function. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and fulfillment of our Quality Policy, which is to comply fully with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of quality measures and targets to ensure QA compliance.
  • Participate in external quality audits, assessments, and visits by customers and authorities.
  • Facilitate the coordination and facilitation of timely responses and resolution of quality issues identified.
  • Assist with the generation of quality plans and proposals.
  • Support customer or supplier source inspection or delegate product review verification activities.
  • Facilitate concession applications and engineering change requests.
  • Participate in engineering design project reviews and auditing these projects to ensure compliance to internal QMS requirements.
  • Participate in contract reviews and new business proposal launches.

Requirements:

  • Proven range of quality/business improvement experience.
  • Proven experience working within a quality management system.
  • Good communication skills demonstrated both verbally and in writing in the form of presentations and recommendations for improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in building good working relationships and gaining trust and respect with internal and external customers.
  • Good application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
