Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Rotherham

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school in Rotherham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional development of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and assist mainstream and SEN pupils in their academic and personal development.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Provide one-on-one support as well as small group assistance as required.
  • Assist with the management of behaviour and implement behaviour support plans.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN children in either a mainstream educational setting or specialist provision.
  • Relevant Level 3 TA qualification.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of SEN students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in supporting children with special educational needs.
