Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at a Residential Primary School in Chigwell, rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position starting ASAP, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality care and support to children in a residential setting
  • Assist in developing and implementing care plans to meet the physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs of each child
  • Carry out daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs
  • Ensure the health and well-being of children, including administering medication as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behaviour, and any incidents that occur
  • Work with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their well-being
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Relevant qualifications and training for the role
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviours and develop de-escalation strategies
  • Empathy and understanding of special educational needs and social emotional, mental health
Working Hours:

Monday: 14:00-20:30

Tuesday and Wednesday: 07:00-09:30, 14:30-20:30

Thursday: 07:00-10:00, 12:00-20:30

Friday: 07:00-15:00
