Stirling Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled DO-254 System / Hardware / Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge electric actuator controller products for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) eVTOL aircraft.

This role will be based primarily in our Bristol office, with occasional travel to client sites as needed. Remote and hybrid working options are also available.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical guidance for DO-254 projects.
  • Plan, design, specify, verify, and validate electronic controllers for aerospace systems.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering Degree with an electronics focus or equivalent experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace product development, specifically on DO-254 projects.
  • Proven track record at a Senior or Principal Engineer level.
  • Expertise in hardware requirements derivation and specification.
  • Proficiency in system electronics architecture design.
  • Knowledge of power electronics and motor drive design.
  • Experience throughout all phases of DO-254 planning and development.
  • Working knowledge of CAN comms interface electronics.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical position sensors and FPGA based systems.
