About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Education and Mental Health Tutor to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Tutor, you will work with students who are experiencing a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one tuition to students with SEMH needs
  • Work with schools, Local Authorities, and Virtual Schooling Teams in Oldham and Greater Manchester
  • Develop and implement tailored education plans to support students' academic and emotional growth
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system
  • Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust tuition plans accordingly

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and right to work in the UK
