Mobile Night Support Worker

This role requires a valid UK Driving Licence as it involves mobility across various locations.

Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Mobile Night Support Worker, you will:
- Deliver floating support to our teams operating in high-support 24-hour projects, as well as in medium-support and transitional housing units.
- Ensure that our properties remain safe, secure, and inviting throughout the night.
- Work across various locations to assist static night staff while performing your mobile duties.
While on-site, you will:
- Maintain safety by keeping detailed records of nighttime activities within the premises.
- Conduct regular building inspections and monitor CCTV, adhering to health and safety regulations as per YMCA DownsLink Group policies.
- Proactively prevent anti-social behavior that may affect our neighbors and residents.
- Collaborate with other support personnel to enhance the well-being of residents through one-on-one interventions, particularly for those experiencing mental health crises or requiring medical assistance.
Your shifts will follow a four nights on, four nights off pattern, working from 8 PM to 7 AM, including weekends and bank holidays. While these shifts are lengthy, the subsequent four days off provide an excellent work-life balance.

Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with young individuals, particularly those facing vulnerabilities or complex needs.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people.
- An understanding of the needs of single homeless clients aged 16-25, along with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient IT skills, and self-motivation.
- The capability to deliver clear handovers and build effective relationships with team members.
- Skills to de-escalate challenging situations and manage difficult behavior appropriately.
