Job Summary:

Everec is seeking a highly skilled CNC Engineer to join our team in Norfolk. As a CNC Engineer, you will be responsible for manufacturing prototypes and components in line with design requirements using 3 & 4 axis CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate 3 & 4 axis CNC machinery to manufacture components in line with design requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet prototype needs and ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform first article inspection using metrology and inspection equipment to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance to engineers on design feasibility for in-house machining and propose design changes where required.
  • Operate CNC millturn and VMC capability, as well as other engineering equipment, to achieve delivery and ensure equipment operability.
  • Investigate additive and other technologies to move the business forward and propose business cases for new machinery.
  • Ensure a safe and controlled workshop environment, adhering to 5S standards.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent understanding of tooling and material properties within machining applications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing production and engineering processes.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software.
  • Proven track record of programming and operating CNC machinery.
  • Ability to read and work from 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Ability to work to tight engineering tolerances.
  • Contribution to the implementation and development of NPI processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection techniques and processes.
