Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team at Tfast Logistics Limited T/A Driver Hire Leeds West. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a 3.5t vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate a 3.5t Vehicle: You will be responsible for safely operating a 3.5t vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations.
  • Use PDA Devices: You will use PDA devices for efficient route navigation and delivery tracking.
  • Secure Cargo: You will secure cargo using ratchet straps and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: You will provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing our clients professionally.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: You must have proven experience as a 3.5t delivery driver.
  • Full, Clean UK Driving Licence: You must have a full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Minimum Age: You must be at least 21 years old due to insurance requirements.
  • Proficient Use of PDA Devices: You must be proficient in the use of PDA devices.
  • Experience of Multidrop: You must have experience of multidrop deliveries.
  • Familiarity with Securing Cargo: You must be familiar with securing cargo using ratchet straps.
  • Happy with Manual Handling: You must be happy with elements of manual handling and handballing.
  • Reliable and Dependable Work Ethic: You must have a reliable and dependable work ethic.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility: You must be flexible and able to work on a variety of shifts.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive pay rate, starting from £12.89 per hour on days with holiday pay upfront, with weekend work earning more than £15.47 per hour. Our drivers can earn as much or as little as they want, depending on the number of assignments they work.
