This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for SEN at The Meads Primary School.

Job Role
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs in a 1:1 setting
Visa Sponsorship

Unfortunately, visas cannot be sponsored for this role.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position, with a typical working day from 8:45am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Contract Type

This is a fixed-term contract, initially until 31/08/2025, with the possibility of extension.Full-time Equivalent Salary

The salary for this role is £16,490.00 per annum, with pay award pending.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our school as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a school setting and be able to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including those with autism.

The ideal candidate will be able to build positive relationships with children, work calmly and patiently, and demonstrate a commitment to the principles of inclusion.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning, differentiation, and assessment of the curriculum for individual pupils in partnership with the class teacher.

Requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including those with autism
  • Build positive relationships with children
  • Work calmly and patiently, helping children to engage positively with their learning
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of inclusion
  • Work in collaboration with teachers, contributing to the planning and assessment of pupils with SEND
