Sales Ledger Analyst Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong affinity for numbers to join our client's finance department in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate recording of sales data and financial transactions.
  • Resolving electronic invoice issues on customer accounts.
  • Reconciliation of ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with end of month closing processes.
  • Supporting the credit control function in managing receivables.
  • Collaborating with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Monitoring customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities.
  • Preparing monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and adherence to financial regulations.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Experience working with EDI invoices and large customer accounts.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG - Desirable.
  • Experience working with customers under agreed and variable invoice formats and payment terms.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
