Westcotts, a leading Top 50+50 Accountancy Practice and Real Living Wage Employer, is seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior to join our Plymouth office on a permanent full-time basis.
As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for managing, controlling, and conducting the audit fieldwork for a diverse range of clients, developing strong relationships with those clients, and helping to win new clients for the firm.
You will also manage the preparation of financial statements for non-audit clients. This role will suit a part-qualified or qualified audit professional looking to develop their career further across the Southwest of England.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and Execution: Manage, control, and conduct the audit fieldwork for a portfolio of clients under the direction of the Audit Partners, Directors, and Managers.
- Team Development: Develop and train junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
- Department Development: Assist the Audit Partners in developing the department, including proposals for new work.
- Networking: Network with business communities in which our offices and clients are based.
- Qualifications: ACA or ACCA part-qualified or qualified with a good level of experience working within an audit and assurance team.
- Knowledge: Good level of knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards.
- Technical Skills: Able to develop and operate complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and be competent in Word and Outlook.
- Software Experience: Experience of Caseware audit software would be an advantage, as well as working knowledge of Sage Accounts software.
- Working Hours: 25 hours/5 days per week (flexible and hybrid working available).
