About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Italian Games Tester to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a key member of our Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our games and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough linguistic testing of in-game text to ensure accuracy and correctness.
  • Identify and report linguistic bugs using industry-standard bug databases.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that bugs are fixed and implemented correctly.
  • Develop and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle.
  • Participate in test requirement gathering to ensure effective testing and support of all features.
  • Continuously improve processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality.
Requirements
  • Expert-level proficiency in Italian language and culture.
  • Strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Passion for video games and gaming industry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including MS Office Suite.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
  • Knowledge of video game industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in linguistics or related field.
