SEN Teacher KS4 Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at an alternative provision in Bermondsey. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with behavioural and emotional difficulties, working closely with a team of teaching assistants and the lead teacher to design and deliver a curriculum tailored to the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of a small class of students from KS2 to KS4
  • Work with the lead teacher to develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of students with severe barriers to learning
  • Develop and maintain schemes of work across subjects
  • Provide pastoral support to students with severe barriers to learning

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching students with behavioural difficulties in a mainstream school, special school, PRU or alternative provision
  • Knowledge of strategies for SEN in the secondary phase
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teaching assistants and the lead teacher
