Overview: The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive and preventive maintenance on a diverse array of site machinery.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across various locations.

Your role will involve executing planned maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. You will also be encouraged to propose long-term enhancements to our systems.

Daily Tasks: Collaborating with senior team members, you will perform routine maintenance activities, which may include tasks such as painting and plumbing. You will also coordinate with external contractors when specialized skills are required.

Shift Work: This position requires flexibility in working hours to provide round-the-clock support for our operations, ensuring that Amazon maintains its renowned delivery speed.

Team Dynamics: Our RME team is responsible for optimizing equipment performance. We collaborate to maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery across our extensive network of fulfillment centers.

Technical Responsibilities: From the installation of automated packaging systems to overseeing general site maintenance and repairing critical distribution equipment, our team manages a wide range of technical functions.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or a minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language, both spoken and written.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with condition-based monitoring techniques.
  • Familiarity with print and apply machinery.
