Senior Fire Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our team at Brandon James Ltd. As a key member of our fire engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of our presence in the North of the country.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire engineering, with experience in designing and implementing fire safety strategies for a variety of sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, and residential. You will be responsible for working autonomously on fire design projects, from RIBA Stage 2 (concept design) through to handover, and will have the opportunity to engage with clients and build your skillset outside of fire engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fire safety strategies for complex projects
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation
  • Design and implement fire protection systems, including passive fire protection and compartmentation
  • Ensure compliance with Approved Document B and other relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or masters in fire engineering or a related discipline
  • AIFireE or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
