About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trusts and Foundations Coordinator to join our International Programmes Department (IPD). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing institutional funding to support our humanitarian and development programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Development: Enhance institutional funding to raise essential funds for Muslim Aid's international humanitarian and development programmes through Trusts, Foundations, and Partner Offices.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist the MEAL Manager in developing and implementing effective MEAL systems to ensure quality service delivery across all programmes.
  • Donor Engagement: Lead the donor mapping process for Trusts and Foundations, continuously updating this mapping document regularly based on engagement with prospective donors.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the proposal/concept development process for T&F and MA Partner offices submissions.
  • Grant Management: Support the Global Programme Development and Quality Assurance Manager in managing a portfolio of institutional donor grants relationships and implement donor engagement strategies for prioritised donors.
  • MEAL System Strengthening: Support the Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager to strengthen MEAL system globally, ensuring high-quality data tracking progress, analysing data, and generating knowledge and documentation of best practices.
  • Capacity Development: Work with Country Offices, Global Programme Development and Quality Assurance, Humanitarian and Programme units to support on disaster responses and associated appeals.
  • Training and Development: Support the unit in providing the development and implementing capacity development workshops for the IPD team, country offices, and partner offices either face to face or virtually.
Requirements
  • Educated to bachelor's degree level.
  • Experience of successfully fundraising and dealing with institutional donors and international donors with a focus on Trusts and Foundations.
  • Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of effective budgetary control and grant management.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels. Good tact and diplomacy at all times.
  • Strong and well-developed analytical skills coupled with strong bid and report writing skills.
