Job Summary:

Protec Fire Detection PLC is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our post-order Design Engineering team, you will work closely with project delivery teams to produce design deliverables in line with project programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the post-order design process from sales handover to completion, ensuring all documentation/drawings/calculations are produced/recorded and reported in line with company standards.
  • Implement company design procedures with relevant stakeholders, ensuring a full understanding of scope documents and system design compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Represent the company consistently and positively to customers, maintaining effective communication with both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed, stored, and provided to appropriate personnel when required.
  • Become fully competent in the use of the company's computer systems to meet customer requirements and communicate accurate and valid information when conversing with both internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Previous design experience and technical understanding of fire and security-related systems.
  • Proven ability to professionally document, illustrate, and present detailed fire and security system designs with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards.
  • Ability to work closely with regional project managers to manage and deliver comprehensive life safety system designs for complex major projects.
