About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Process Engineer to join our team in Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for continuously evaluating and optimizing assembly processes to achieve maximum efficiency, quality, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement continuous improvement (CI) methods to drive advancements in QCD performance across assembly operations.
  2. Manage and maintain process documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly processes.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve Phase Exit milestones related to assembly processes.
  4. Provide expertise in Design for Assembly (DfA), ensuring that products are designed for smooth and efficient assembly.
  5. Lead and support Pre-Series builds to ensure assembly processes are fully production-ready.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as an Assembly Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of assembly process optimisation, including hands-on experience with continuous improvement (CI) techniques.
  3. Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and working with cross-functional project teams.
  4. Expertise in Design for Assembly (DfA) principles.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
