Job Title: Hybrid Infrastructure Solutions Specialist

A Hybrid Infrastructure Solutions Specialist is a key member of the Technical Pre-Sales function of Business Solutions and Services at Bechtle UK. The role sits within the Hybrid Infrastructure Pillar, which focuses on supporting customers to modernise their infrastructure, bringing simplification and performance in a secure manner.

The successful candidate will understand customer challenges and work with vendors, service partners, and internal resources to build end-to-end Hybrid Infrastructure solutions. They will also work alongside the wider team to help customers define and execute their on-premises, cloud, or hybrid strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively maintain Bechtle's Hybrid Infrastructure portfolio, ensuring it remains up-to-date with market demands and trends.
  • Assess, design, and support the presentation of end-to-end Hybrid Infrastructure solutions to meet customer requirements of all sizes and industries.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable assessment tools to support the architecting, sizing, and configuring of Hybrid Infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape and complementary solutions.
  • Proactively deliver product updates into the Hybrid Infrastructure pillar and wider Business Solutions and Services on key product information, incentives, and general announcements.
  • Proactively convert basic Bill of Material (BoM) requests into wider solutions that encourage upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Continuously certify and develop expertise in key vendors such as HPE, DELL, Cisco, and Aruba, with a deeper level of knowledge in specific solution areas as the role develops.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and surrounding service partners.
  • Support and manage existing customer technology and software plans.
Requirements:
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • University degree or good A-Levels preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where hard work and fun are key ingredients.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and display teamwork.

Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the technology industry is required.
  • Experience working with server or datacentre solutions (preferred).
  • Understanding of enterprise computer hardware, software, and datacentre solutions (preferred).
  • Must be organised, adaptable, flexible, and a good team player.
  • Ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Good analytical skills, able to make sense of data and report on it.
  • A strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement business plans in line with overall company objectives.
