Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the facility operates efficiently while meeting or exceeding all performance benchmarks.
  • Leading the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team and managing third-party contractors to guarantee safe and efficient plant operations in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Identifying and implementing plant improvement initiatives to enhance availability and minimize operational costs.
  • Developing and executing the O&M strategy, including both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
  • Overseeing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management, as well as Quality and Environmental systems in accordance with recognized standards.
  • Managing the facility's budget and assuming financial accountability for plant operations.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of the business operating model across the facility.
  • Monitoring costs associated with capital projects and maintenance outages.
  • Leading and developing site personnel.
  • Providing comprehensive reports on Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS), financial, operational, and maintenance matters.
Professional Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.
Personal Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive senior management experience in a heavy process engineering environment, such as Power (Energy from Waste, Biomass, etc.), Refineries, or Petrochemicals.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of achieving plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • A solid understanding of engineering standards and regulations.
  • Experience in budget management and strategic planning.
