MFL Teacher Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join our client schools in Chelmsford. As an MFL Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in modern foreign languages such as Spanish, French, and German, across both primary and secondary levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach modern foreign languages, including Spanish, French, and German, at Key Stages according to the school's curriculum.
  • Provide high-quality language instruction and lessons to pupils, ensuring they make progress in their language skills.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the school's curriculum, promoting student engagement and progress.
  • Support students in both group and one-to-one settings, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, offering tailored support to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters language learning and student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the language program and student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience teaching Spanish, French, German, or other modern foreign languages in a school setting as an MFL Teacher.
  • QTS or PGCE, NQT, ECT qualification is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a modern foreign language or an education-related field.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum for modern foreign languages.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
