About the Role
Moy Park is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a key role that will contribute to the success of our production operations. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing effective engineering services to the production team, ensuring equipment is maintained and performing at optimal levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive engineering support to the production team to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain and repair equipment to prevent downtime and ensure factory performance meets targets and KPIs.
- Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment availability and performance, meeting OEE targets.
- Proactively use the PPM System (SAP) to capture engineering labor and parts.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to resolve equipment-related issues and improve overall factory performance.
Requirements
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Qualifications recognized in the UK.
- Previous experience in manufacturing operations.
- Literacy and numeracy skills to National Level 2 Standard.
- Ability to deliver quality and accuracy in work and maintain high standards.
- Capacity to work under pressure and adapt to changing workloads.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve problems using available resources.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong personal and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Desirable: experience in food processing, poultry processing machinery, welding, lean techniques, automated machinery, and computer literacy.
