Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Management Accountant to join our finance team at Cathay Investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and management information to support business decision-making, preparing financial reports, and developing and implementing financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and draft commentaries on financial performance and overheads.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns, payroll journals, and processing.
- Assistance in year-end accounts preparation and audit assistance, liaising with external auditors as required.
- Support the preparation of annual budget and medium-term plans.
- Providing cover and support for credit control and purchase ledger functions.
- Supporting the Finance Director in other projects as required.
- Part qualified / finalist / newly qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA).
- Prior experience of preparing management accounts from trial balance.
- Exposure to accounting systems (Sage or SAP would be helpful but not essential).
- Ability to work under own initiative, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail, strong numeracy & spreadsheet skills, and computer literacy (Windows Office Software packages).
- Ability to work to strict deadlines.
