After-School Club Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support in our after-school clubs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging activities for children between EYFS and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interactive and fun activities for children.
  • Build strong relationships with children, providing a nurturing and calm approach.
  • Communicate effectively with families and carers to provide feedback on children's progress.
  • Support children with additional needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation.
  • Assist children with homework and reading activities, promoting a love of learning.
  • Work collaboratively with other after-school club Teaching Assistants to create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Implement good behaviour management strategies, promoting a safe and respectful atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in a teaching or support role.
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, ensuring a safe and secure environment for children.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs, promoting their well-being and development.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge, ensuring the protection and safety of children.
