Job Overview:
TeacherActive is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Support Specialist to join a reputable primary school in Streatham. This institution is celebrated for its inclusive and nurturing atmosphere, striving for excellence in education while promoting a passion for lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students under the guidance of the classroom teacher/SENCo to ensure access to a comprehensive curriculum.
  • Provide individualized support to students as needed, maintaining a consistent and structured schedule.
  • Aid in lesson planning and evaluation, offering constructive feedback on student progress.
  • Support the educational and emotional needs of children with special educational requirements.
  • Act as an engaging play facilitator and oversee playground activities.
  • Contribute positively to the overall ethos and community of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children in a relevant age group.
  • Willingness to engage in professional development and training.
  • Ability to set high expectations to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to enhancing children's learning outcomes and achievements.
  • Capability to assist children with special educational needs, particularly those with ASD.
  • Proactive, energetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
