Job Summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to join our team in a hospital setting. As a key member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for leading by example, providing high-quality care, and developing therapeutic relationships with patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the nursing team on the ward, managing shifts and deputizing for the Ward Manager as needed.
  • Provide high-quality care and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development within the team.
  • Develop and implement care plans, monitoring patient progress and contributing to patient assessments.
  • Coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and manage health and safety issues, ensuring a safe and effective working environment.
  • Mentor and support student nurses, promoting a culture of learning and development.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience, with a proven ability to assess and teach junior staff.
  • Experience in a supervisory role, with a track record of successful team leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, values-based practice, and evidence-based decision making.
