Position Overview

The Senior Technical Consultant (L6) role at Cisilion Professional Services involves consulting, designing, planning, and executing technical projects. This position requires close collaboration with Principal Technical Consultants, Presale Architects, and various teams as necessary. The Senior Technical Consultant will also assist the Sales and Solutions teams by providing the technical expertise essential for securing sales opportunities and enhancing customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, delivering technical presentations, conducting solution demonstrations, and developing proposals with a comprehensive understanding of multiple technologies.
  • Act as a mentor and technical escalation point, offering expert-level knowledge, peer-level review, and guidance on issue resolution, standards, design, and best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Managers, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Customers, and other teams as required.
  • Design and deliver implementation services across a variety of clients and technologies, producing technical documentation such as Low-Level and High-Level Designs, diagrams, Bill of Materials, test plans, and Statements of Work (SoW).
  • Lead the design, implementation, migration, and testing of technical solutions, including the creation and presentation of customer-facing documentation.
  • Facilitate project design workshops and work with clients to identify commercially viable technical solutions.
  • Ensure projects are executed within agreed timelines, quality standards, scope, and budget, applying appropriate governance to manage risks, changes, and issues.
  • Take a leading technical role in assigned projects, ensuring solutions align with recognized industry standards or Cisilion best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of test documentation and scenarios, ensuring personal objectives and KPI targets are met or exceeded.
  • Proactively assess existing systems, standards, documentation, and procedures, making recommendations for enhancements.
  • Uphold and promote Cisilion's brand and that of Operations and Professional Services, both internally and externally.
  • Manage one or more teams of consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential:

  • AZ-104 – Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • AZ-500 – Azure Security Technologies
  • AZ-400 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
  • AZ-305 – Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure

Desirable:

  • AZ-140 – Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
  • AZ-700 – Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solution
  • SC-200 – Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • DP-300 – Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solution

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven expertise in Azure infrastructure IaaS and PaaS services, focusing on virtual machines, virtual networking, Azure SQL, Azure Policy, Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Framework, and Landing Zones, with the ability to identify upselling opportunities across Cisilion's product portfolio.
  • Comprehensive understanding of on-premise technologies including Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, Windows Server, and DNS, along with a solid grasp of Entra ID, capable of translating customer requirements into High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (BICEP), PowerShell, ARM templates, and deployment via Azure DevOps.
  • Extensive experience in designing and validating solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 across various sectors, applying lessons learned from each project to ensure continuous improvement and drive Azure transformation for key customers.
  • Ability to apply Microsoft best practices, with knowledge of the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), Well-Architected Framework (WAF), and Azure Landing Zones.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft technologies (M365 E3/E5, Active Directory, Windows Server).
  • Understanding of Citrix and migrations to AVD would be advantageous, with proven deliverables in this area being desirable.
  • Maintain industry-recognized professional-level technical relevance through project delivery, vendor certifications, technical training, vendor relationships, and industry participation.
  • Exhibit exceptional skills in time management, planning, and communication.
  • Demonstrate extensive commercial awareness, safeguarding Cisilion's interests in professional services delivery.
  • Showcase comprehensive knowledge and experience of technical infrastructure hardware, software, and solutions.
  • Deliver quality, consistency, and excellence while continuously striving for improvement.
  • Bring prior experience from IT services organizations, IT channels, or value-added resellers.
